Scouter’s searchable universe is 10,000+ tickers on major U.S. exchanges. That total includes common stocks and ETFs and mutual funds — not stocks alone. If you are looking for a specific name, use the search bar in the header; if it does not resolve, it may be delisted, extremely illiquid, or outside the universe we support today.
Coverage by asset type
| Asset type | What works well | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. stocks | Full product: Expected Moves, Shortlist, Lineup, Top Ideas, Trend Scores links | Deepest catalyst and fundamentals coverage |
| U.S. ETFs | Expected Moves (price, holdings, sector/geo exposure) and Shortlist | Fewer equity-style earnings catalysts; more holdings/exposure stats |
| Mutual funds | Shortlist screening with stocks and ETFs | Premium search can ask for funds only or stocks only |
| Crypto & commodities | Limited Expected Moves | Price and volatility context — not the full equity catalyst stack |
| Non-U.S. listings | Not in scope | Foreign tickers generally will not resolve |
Delisted or hard-to-find symbols
If a company was acquired, went private, or left an exchange, the quote page may still show historical “what happened” context when we have data. Live catalyst schedules and fresh fundamentals are limited or unavailable for those names.
Practical tips
- Prefer shareable quote links (for example AAPL or NVDA) when sending analysis to someone else — they use the same UI as Expected Moves.
- Start from the Expected Moves week grid when you want catalysts by day, not a specific ticker.
- On Shortlist, remember the default universe includes stocks plus funds; narrow it if you only want one group.
